Delete your account in the app
The quickest way to delete your Porsche Club Cape account is from the member app (Android or the member website):
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to the More tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what happens, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm with your PIN or fingerprint / face (on mobile).
Access ends immediately once you confirm.
Delete by email
If you can't use the app, email membership@porscheclubcape.co.za from the email address on your membership and ask us to delete your account. We'll verify it's you and process the request.
What is deleted and what is kept
Permanently erased: your name, contact details, ID number, address, date of birth, your vehicles and your profile photo. This happens after a 30-day grace window, during which the committee can reverse an accidental deletion.
Retained (anonymised): for legal, tax and accounting obligations under South African law (including POPIA), we keep records of payments, membership renewals and signed event indemnities in a form that is no longer linked to your identity, for up to five years, after which they are purged. Note: deleting your account does not refund any membership fees already paid. If your membership is linked to another member (for example a spouse), please contact the committee first so the linked membership can be handled.
